ℹ️ NOTE
The data logger does not contain any components to be maintained by the end user.
Check internet connection
If you are using our supplied LTE router, use your cell phone, tablet or laptop to connect to it. Then navigate to a website such as www.speedtest.net to check the stability and speed of the Internet connection.
If you are using your own router, proceed in the same way as our router. Also make sure that DHCP is activated in your network. Refer to the manual for your router if necessary.
If your router has problems, especially with Wifi problems, you can temporarily switch to LAN. If possible, connect the Amperecloud Log to the router (RUT) via an Ethernet cable. This can improve the stability of the connection.
Check wiring
Check the cabling on site for faults, interruptions and short circuits. Check the cable assignment (A/B) on the inverter, any plugs, bus terminals and the data logger.
Configuration of digital twin & inverter
Ensure that the inverter is configured according to the specifications in the digital twin. Particular attention should be paid to the specified model and connection: RS485-based inverters require a port and a correctly configured bus address. The latter is a frequent source of errors, but can be adjusted remotely if the cabling is correct.
Network-based inverters require a correctly configured IP, a port and a so-called slave ID (sometimes also called a bus address). All settings can be found on the user interface of your inverter and adjusted if necessary.
Updating the inverter firmware
The inverter firmware may be the cause of errors, particularly in existing systems, as older versions may not support current protocols. Use the manual for your inverter to check whether more up-to-date firmware is available for your inverter.
Reset to factory settings
Another option for troubleshooting is to reset the data logger to the factory settings.
