This function is available exclusively for administrators and allows you to fully customize the master data system to meet your company's specific requirements. To make adjustments, follow these steps:
Go to article Entering master data.
Step 1: Call up company settings
- Click on your company name in the top right-hand corner.
- Select “Company settings” from the drop-down menu.
Step 2: Open the master data editor:
The Master data menu item is listed in the administration area of your company. Click on this menu item to access the master data system editor.
Step 3: Manage tabs:
1. Create tabs: Tabs work like tabs in a folder. Before you can add categories and text fields, you must first create a tab. To do this, click on Add and then on Tab. Then enter the desired name and click on Create.
2. Display tabs: You can see the tabs you have created in the upper area.
3. Delete tab: With the Delete tab button, you can delete an entire tab including all associated categories and text fields.
⚠ ATTENTION
Deleting a tab removes all associated entries from the master data system. Do not delete any tabs whose data you do not want to lose!
4. Rename a tab: You can change the name of an existing tab using the Edit tab button.
Step 4: Add categories and text fields:
1. Create a category: After you have created a tab, you can create categories to organize your data.
2. Add text field: Click on the + FIELD button within a category to add a new text field. You will be asked to enter a name for the field (e.g. system owner) and select a field type.
3. Edit or delete category: You can rename or delete a category by clicking on the respective buttons.
Step 5: Manage text fields:
1. Rename text field: Move the mouse over a text field and click on it to rename it.
2. Delete text field: Use the trash can icon to remove the text field.
