There are a number of reasons why setting up telecontrol technology is not possible or does not make complete sense. However, these problems can often be avoided. Please contact us in advance if you have any questions in this regard.
Unsupported technologies
The following technologies are not supported, but can usually be replaced by others:
- RS-232
- RS-422
- IEC 60870-5-103
Information regarding emergency shutdown
Data point lists often require the implementation of an (emergency) shutdown signal and, if necessary, corresponding feedback. However, a safety-relevant emergency shutdown should not take place via the Amperecloud log. The reason for this is that it is usually only possible to reduce the AC output of the inverter to 0%, but not to initiate galvanic isolation, and the communication chain is too vulnerable due to its complexity.
Instead, the commands should be forwarded independently to a circuit breaker or other suitable device. An emergency shutdown of the Amperecloud Log should only be implemented as a second instance for additional reliability. Feedback on the successful implementation of the emergency shutdown can be realized under certain circumstances, whereby the active cooperation of the operator and possibly the installer of the emergency shutdown system is necessary.
