Is it possible to connect a data logger from another manufacturer via FTP push?


Step by step instructions

Step 1: Navigate to "FTP data logger"

  1. Open your web browser and log in to Amperecloud Platform.

  2. Navigate to the menu item "FTP data logger" or a similar name and click on it.


Step 2: Configuring the third-party logger

  1. Select your system from the list of available systems.

  2. Select the type of third-party logger from the drop-down list.


Step 3: Enter the FTP connection information

  1. Enter the required FTP connection information:

    • FTP server address: The address of your FTP server to which the data is to be transferred.
    • User name: Your user name for FTP access.
    • Password: The password for your FTP user.
    • Port: If the FTP server uses a different port, enter it here (the default port is 21).

Step 4: Saving the configuration

  1. Check that the information entered is correct.
  2. Click on "Save" or a similar option to activate the FTP push integration.

Extended information on SFTP integration

When connecting a third-party logger, the Amperecloud Platform also supports SFTP to enable secure data transfer. Here are the necessary settings:

  • Server: sftp-datalogger.ampere.cloud
  • Port: 22

When configuring a Meteocontrol Blue'log, the user name must be added to the path for the SFTP push:

  • Pfad: /home/username-of-FTP-datenlogger

The respective user name of the FTP data logger from the platform must be added after the/home/  directory (without brackets or spaces).

The access data such as user name and password remain the same as for the FTP configuration.


  • The FTP push allows the third-party logger to automatically upload data to the specified FTP server, from where it can be processed in Amperecloud Platform.
  • Please note that certain Amperecloud Platform features may only be fully compatible with Amperecloud Log. For advanced functions such as direct marketing and reactive power control, corresponding settings must be made directly on the third-party logger.
