Step by step instructions

Step 01 - Login as "Advanced User"

  • Open a web browser and enter the IP address of your Huawei SmartLogger 1000-3000 in the address bar.
  • Log in as an "Advanced User".

Step 02 - Select settings

  • Once you have successfully logged in, navigate to the settings.

Step 03 - Select FTP under "Extended Parameters

  • Search for the "Extended Parameters".
  • Select the option for FTP there.

Step 04 - Enter the FTP server, user name and password

  • Enter the FTP server address, user name and password required for the FTP connection.
  • Make sure that you enter the password manually, as the SmartLogger does not allow copying and pasting.

Step 05 - Leave the remote directory empty

  • Leave the "Remote Directory" field empty.

Step 06 - Select Data Export Enable

  • Activate the "Data Export Enable" option.

Step 07 - Select the highest possible format

  • Select select the highest possible format (format 4 in most cases). Make sure that you do not select "Format 1" as this is not supported.

Step 08 - Select file name format minYYYYMMDD.csv

  • Select the file name format "minYYYYMMDD.csv".

Step 09 - Select time format YYYY-MM-DD

  • Select the time format "YYYY-MM-DD".

Step 10 - Select Export or Cyclic

  • Select either "Export" or "Cyclic", depending on your requirements.

Step 11 - Set export interval to 15 or 30 minutes

  • Set the export interval to either 15 or 30 minutes.

Step 12 - Select File Mode Periodically Added Data

  • Select the "Periodically Added Data" file mode.

Step 13 - Save

  • Save your settings.

Step 14 - Start report test

  • Click on "Start report test" to check whether the data transfer is working.

  • Make sure that all information is entered correctly, especially the FTP connection information.
  • Check the configuration to ensure that all required settings for the data transfer are selected correctly.
