The "Digital twin" tab of the Amperecloud Platform provides you with useful functions for copying, cutting and pasting system components. These functions allow you to create larger and more complex digital twins quickly and efficiently. The steps and functions are explained in detail here:

Copy: Right-click on any component of your plant to open a context menu. Select the "Copy" option to create an exact copy of the selected component. This function is particularly useful if, for example, you want to transfer several identical MPP trackers from one inverter to another.

Cut: In addition to the copy function, you can also select and remove components using the "Cut" option. This removes the selected component from its current position and moves it to the clipboard.

Paste: Once you have copied or cut a component, you can paste it to a new position within the digital twin. Select the desired position and right-click to select the "Paste" option.
⚠ ATTENTION: Please note that the copy function works recursively. This means that when you copy a component, such as an inverter, its assigned trackers and strings are also copied. This helps you to quickly duplicate and adapt complex structures.
