Datalogger & Feed-in Management

MQTT Datalogger Management

The Platform supports MQTT Dataloggers to onboard and manage facilities that send data via the MQTT protocol.

This guide explains how to create, view, update, and remove MQTT Dataloggers directly from the Platform.

What is an MQTT Datalogger?

An MQTT Datalogger is a data collection hub that transmits readings and metadata from your facility to the Platform using the MQTT protocol. Each datalogger is securely connected using unique credentials (username and password).

Accessing MQTT Dataloggers

Go to Configuration > MQTT Dataloggers in the Platform.

mqtt dataloggers

Here you’ll find a list of all your MQTT Dataloggers, similar to FTP Dataloggers.

MQtt Dataloggers overview

For each datalogger, you can view:

  • Name – Your custom name for the datalogger
  • Device – The linked device in the Digital Twin
  • Type – MQTT Datalogger type (currently one type supported)
  • Last Contact – When the datalogger last communicated with the Platform
  • Username & Password – Auto-generated secure credentials
  • MQTT Server URI & Port – Required for connecting the datalogger

Creating a New MQTT Datalogger

Click “Create New MQTT Datalogger.”

mqtt datenlogger, create new datalogger

Enter a Name and select the linked device in your Digital Twin.

Add the Topicmandatory and unique for each datalogger

  • The topic identifies which datalogger is sending data.
  • Example: spBv1.0/hu/NDATA/puspokladany_3_1
    • Here, the datalogger identifier is puspokladany_3_1.

mqtt naming

The Platform will auto-generate a username and password.

Save your new MQTT Datalogger.

Note the MQTT server URI and port — you’ll need these to configure your datalogger.

Save your new MQTT Datalogger.

Updating or Deleting an MQTT Datalogger

  • Update: Select the datalogger, edit the details, and save.
  • Delete: Deleting requires confirmation to prevent accidental removal.

mqtt edit

Deletion also removes the associated MQTT credentials, immediately disabling data transmission.
