Instructions for Setting Up Communication with Sungrow- Inverters

Before you begin configuration, make sure you have thoroughly read and reviewed the following knowledge base pages:


Problem Description

With some Sungrow inverters, particularly those in the -CX series, issues with active power control can occur depending on the installed firmware version.


Solutions

1. Update the Firmware

Ensure that the inverter firmware is up to date.

Outdated firmware is a common cause of control errors.


2. Adjust Settings in the Configuration App

In the configuration app, navigate to the menu item “Active Power Control” and follow these steps:

  • Limit Active Power: Activate the toggle switch.
  • Limit Ratio: Set the value to 0.0%.

3. Behavior After Firmware Update

After updating the firmware, perform this additional step:

Navigate in the configuration app to:

“Shutdown when active power limitation is at 0%”

Procedure:

  • Enable the function and save.
  • Then disable the function and save again.

This often fully resolves the issue.
