Battery storage systems, also known as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), can be connected to Amperecloud systems in various ways depending on the manufacturer.
Systems that support Modbus-RTU (RS-485) or Modbus-TCP (ETHERNET) can be directly connected to an Amperecloud Log.
A connection without using an Amperecloud Log can be established in two ways:

For systems that support Modbus-TCP, Amperecloud can provide an OpenVPN certificate. This is installed on a router connected to the BESS and enables communication with the Amperecloud Platform.

If the BESS manufacturer provides an API for its monitoring platform, a direct connection to the Amperecloud Platform can be established through it.
The measurable values and control options available depend on the specific model.
